1" difference in diameter front/rear

Hello,

Quick question. Just bought a set of staggered wheels. There is a 1" difference in height between the front and rear tires. Will this cause any type of problems?

Thanks.

At some point, the difference in rotational speed will cause TCS and/or ABS to be faked out. I have no idea what that difference is but if I recall many here have about a 1/2" difference or more in front to rear OD. Hopefully someone with 1" or more diff will chime in.

The way I understand it - and I'm gonna be up front about the fact that I could be completely wrong - the TPMS/ABS system monitors wheel rotation. If two of the wheels have a greater diameter they have to rotate less than the other two, and the system will recognize this as low pressure in two wheels. The idea being that a tire that's low on pressure has a smaller diameter.

I believe you need to reset the speedometer to accommodate the greater diameter of the back wheels also.

Simple to do, if he has to, with his SCT.

Mine are staggered and have no issues.

Ran 26.0" front & 27.3" rear, no problems.
