I want to completely remove the back Gt circle acts as a fake gas cap. My question for the removal is does it stick on with 3M tape and whats the best way to remove it. I was thinking fishing line. Thanks!

yeah guys they say to use some fishing line and maybe some of that 3m adhesive remover

i have removed 3 of em it is a SHI* load of this double sided tape, the OEM tape is solid and it took forever, you have to HEAT it up A LOT, and there are 2 holes behind it.... you would have to patch it....

I removed mine this weekend, took a whole 15 minutes, 2 minutes to remove the faux cap and 13 to remove the old tape. I was going to use fishing line but i stuck an old credit card in between to open a gap and to my surprise it gave me enough roon to get a grip with my hand so I just pulled it off carefully. The rest just took some patience. Anyone want my GT Faux cap? 12 bucks shipped?

Fishing line and goo gone. Completed in ten minutes. Super easy. Painted mine black and reinstalled. Looks way better. That chrome sucks IMO.
