Here's my small problem. My car goes in next week to have the damage repaired and the new Cervini's '67 hood installed. My only issue now is, what color to re-do the stripes. I don't want to go the matte route again, they ended up losing their "matte-ness" and started to shine, so I was looking at slate/charcoal gray. My painter said that a dark red metallic would look really cool since I have the red interior. I love the idea of doing something not too many people have done, but I don't know if I have the ***** to paint red stripes on my car. Now I'm stumped.

Anyone have dark red stripes? How about dark gray? Can I get a few examples?

If you are unsure about color I would not go the paint route. I have custom vinyl stripes and they look very, very nice. Send an e-mail off to Avery Graphics and ask them for their "color selector booklet". They will send it for free and when you get it you can choose any color you want and they will send you a few 3X5 samples also for free. Both photos below are vinyl.

I would say the red, it would complement the interior nicley with the top down.

Reaper, your car was my inspiration. I like them a lot myself. I saw this picture a couple of months ago and said, "If I get my stripes redone, this is the color I'm gonna do."
