OK OK I've tried the VINYL OFF... it's not all it's cracked up to be. I spent 2 hours minimum doing the stripes in the pics... I think it's time to buy an "ERASER" http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydep...temno=MMM+7498 I'd need about 2 or 3 more days and a TON of patience to continue this process... see below:

I took some pics of the VINYL OFF process - it was TUFF!

Second stripe behaved better... tore much less & I don't know why!

I WAS using the hair dryer too... stuff's really thin & tears easily as you try to peel it. I haven't tried 3M but VINYL OFF didn't seem to help much. Notice the LEFT side stripe peeled off in more like one piece?... it's weird the way it comes off well in some places and BADLY in others.

ya...if u catch the vinyl soon enough and its still in half decent shape, you can get a good run on pulling it off in bigger pieces....

this vinyl is probably beyond the use of a heat gun or hair dryer since its pretty much already BAKED on there which is cause for the cracking.....there is absolutely NO moisture left in the stripes whatsoever....we will most likely need some type of solvent or that ERASER deal to remove these....

I'm going to try an actual HEAT GUN instead of the 1600W hair dryer I was using... it may need to be even hotter, but then I fear the vinyl will rip from being too soft!

Can't WAIT 'til this ordeal is behind me...

it cant get TO hot when removing... actually at my friends tint and vinyl shop today... i feel lucky i dont have to deal with all this cause if anything goes down i just drive down the street :P

ok so for the gentlemen with the "cracking" stripes, still use heat... or else you wont pull it at all... you will but it will take 3 or 4 times longer... you dont need to worry so much on how big the peaces are cause the stripes is f'ed so you still need heat to get a clean pull with as little residue as you can...

as for the gentlemen with the stripes trying to remove "as a whole stripe"... use the heat gun, thats what my friend does, hair dryer is .... o.k. i guess but go with the gun... dont worry bout "ripping" the stripe due to it being "too" hot because if that happens remove heat for a sec... let it cool down and go again haha cant mess up to bad when removing.. just be more careful of the paint not the stripe with a heat gun, you can F up your finish if you hold it for to long... just keep the gun moving until it asks to be pulled off
