There is a 08 black Mustang GT in town that has the fake chrome bumpers, GT500 wheels with white wall tires, flame stickers on the hood and fenders. oh ya, and fuzzy dice. It is hideous!

Years ago I think there was a car on eBay that had them, like most, not my taste at all.

An 08 with WHITE WALLS? Yeesh! Bad enough seeing wide whites on a '60's car, but ANY whites on an 08 Stang should be illegal....

I really want to see pics of that!

As far as the chrome bumpers, I dont think they look all that bad on the Bullitt in those pics. I think they would look pretty awful in person, though.

The chrome bumpers might not look so bad if it was only the 1" curved leading edge rather than the whole bumper going back to the grill. Same with the back, which doesn't need to curve up and follow the rubber bumper. If they were more subtle and smaller they might be okay.. more like trim rather than a whole big plastic panel...

But it's still a bit like chroming the rubber bumper on the '68 GTO....

Are you certain the 68 GTO had a plastic bumper or was it more likely a painted metal bumper? I don't think they were using plastics as much that far back. That is why the Corvette was so different, because it was fiberglass which was an oddity back then.
