Hood Scoop Leak
 

I have a 2008 gt that came with the factory hood scoop installed. Anyone have a factory scoop and have a leak? It leaves a little puddle in the valley of the throtle body after it rains hard or a hand wash. How can I fix this myself because I have had bad experiences at the dealer and would prefer not to take my stang in for any type of warranty work.

id start by pouring water on it and finding out where the leak is...then pop it off and put something on it to seal it better....

I found the source of the leak as the hole in the center portion of the hood was oval ond the alignment pin was round therefore letting water into the engine bay. I went to the hardware store and picked up some rubber washers and put them under the scoop. BTW that hood liner is a pita to remove and the portion under the scoop was downright filthy!

May wanna lay a bit of high temp silicone on the rubber washer top/bottom as well.
