red welt trim for my dashboard
#22
I hate to steal this thread, but I didn't want to get flamed for starting a new one. I want to order the welt for my doors, but I'm torn between the silver tinsel (which seems to be popular choice), the silver gray, or white (as I have a white car and hurst shifter). Any opinions would be appreciated!
My interior is charcoal with the IUP.

How much difference can you tell between the silver and the red, thickness wise?
Since it's so cheap I think I'm just gonna order the silver gray and if it doesn't match well enough, order the tinsel. Or maybe do a split order.

I wanted some in Vista Blue but at the time they didn't have it, so I bought some in gray and painted them blue. They've been in my car for 3 years with out any problems. My car stay outside so sometimes the temps inside get hot but still no problems with the paint.

I would try white since you already have a white shifter. Since the colored trim seems a little thicker than the tinsel ones, you could always paint it the color that suites you.

I just got some more dark red in today. Did the top part of my dash and i have plenty left but im not sure if/where i want to add more. FYI you can email for samples and he will send a few 1-2" strips so you can choose a color. I have like one of every red plus black and white somewhere around here.
