I dont like them.. I believe in stopping power kind of like fake hood pins. Think it would look funny to see a hood that popped open flipped over on someones roof with the pins in place dangling... I have the same picture in my mind with these brake covers. Ah or the useless little fire extinguishers you have to have for car shows.

I am cool with fake hood scoops, side scoops etc... LOL..

I've been considering these, but my problem to get past is the price they want for them.

I can almost buy a new shifter for what these covers cost.

Just seems unreasonably priced to high.

Yes, the price of new ones is a little steep but i was able to pick mine up from a buddy at work who bought used off e-bay for 75 + shipping and then he changed his mind. My price for "taking them off his hands" was $50.00, couldn't really go wrong IMO.

I like them, even though they are a little pricey. Some advantages to them too:

1) VERY clean look. Even better than painted (which I used to do)
2) Acts as a brake dust barrier and keeps your wheels WAY WAY cleaner/longer
3) can be cleaned easily with just a hose and wheel cleaner in about 5 seconds.

Anyway, I vote thumbs up. Here is a pic of mine:

I was also looking into the MGP covers but decided against it for reasons already mentioned here. If I ever decide to paint mine I'll try to find a flat paint versus glossy.

I don't get it. What "reasons" are you referring to? I just read the entire thread again, and of those who don't like them, the only "reason" they have given is "I don't like them". That's a reason?

At least from those of us who like them, *some* have given substantive reasons such as, cleanliness, dust protection, customization ect.

*As usual, we can have a 3+page meaningful discussion of the pros and cons of a given product, and the second that a single person uses the word "rice" anywhere in the thread, people will run away screaming like there is plague in the air or something. Funny.

Those look great on your car and those are the same three reasons that i chose to use them. As far as the people who don't like them... to each their own.
