Default Sloppy Mirror Wiring

Hi all, I have a 2010 GT convertible and notice the wiring to the mirror just hangs there wrapped in black plastic that looks worse than if I did the job with electrical tape. Anybody out there find a way to clean up the look? It's hard to miss when you're looking out the windshield and drives me crazy. Call me a bit ****, but with everything else looking so cleanly done in the car it's amazing it isn't hidden or integrated into the mirror. thanks for any advice...

Thanks, looks like a great solution, I'll take a look this weekend.

Maybe a pic so we will know what U are a griping about exactly.
Heatshrink tubing is the way to go, split loom is so old school....
The corrigations just attract dirt and look worse than loose wires over time.

And how would one go about using heat shrink tubing? There is most likely a connector in the end of the wires which the heat shrink tubing will doubtfully fit over. I suppose you could cut and re-solder the wires but that seems excessive. The split tubing may not be the cleanest solution but will be a snap to install.

I'm curious what you are seeing as well. I can't see anything on my 2006 convertible unless I take the mirror off the car.

Unless he is missing a the part that covers up the wiring to the mirror, what wire(s) is he talking about?

Man, open your mind.
Use 3:1 shrink tube or use 2:1 and carefully remove the
wires from the connector, slide the heatshrink on and
reinsert the wires into the connector.

No cutting and no resoldering.

McGyver your not.

Pardon me. Why do you have to be a dick every time you post? Sarcasm and criticism every time. Lighten up!

Now I'm wondering if I have a part missing. Dealer is closed today, but I'll have to stop by and check out the other 2010s. Trouble is they have very few new convertibles on their lot. I'd attach a picture but can't figure out how to do it on this site. Other forums allow you to insert an image like a jpeg file from your computer but this one, seems to require your pictures on a URL somewhere, which I don't have a clue how to do...
