Hi, I want to do something with my hood. Because my budget is limited (can’t afford new hood) I can only do small changes. I really like the look of GT500 hood vents and wide hood scoop (3Dcarbon). My matte black Super Stripes are in the way. Xeno made a photoshop for me. I’m worry that stripes and vent can look to dark (black). Maybe install only GT500 hood vents without stripes?

Please show me your GT500 hood vents and tell me if you had any issues with water. I live in NJ, we have here a lot of rain and snow in winter. I use this car every day and park on the street.

That's a 2005. Why would you want to see 2010 hoods? I like the vent with the stripe.

lolololol! Yep. Here's another shot of mine (pre-rivets). I think there's one more.

Water has been a non-issue, and we've had a decent rainy season this year in So.Cal. The underhood area is weatherproof enough--wiring is sealed/gasketed (not that any water actually gets near it anyway...).

I do agree, I like the vent better with a stripe.

Hi, I finally got my vent. I’m going to install it this weekend. I have a couple questions to people who have them.



1. Do I have to do some modifications of the vent before installation? What I see right now I have to cut down two clips in the rear and one screw in the middle.
2. What did you do with the long front clip, did you use it or cut it down?
3. How big hole did you cut? I mean how much smaller from the vent?
4. What did you use to connect them? I’m going to use rivets but I was thinking of something to prevent vibration.
