19's tire problem
Hey guys i will be getting new tires soon for these 19's and wanted to know which brand of tire is like best and if tire sizes are right. Im running 245/45 in the front and 275 40 in the back. i noticed that the left rim sticks out just a tad more than the right but is noticeable. I just want to make sure i have the right tires for these.
These are the specs Front Rims Sizing and Specifications Rim Diameter: 19 inches Rim Width: 8 inches Bolt Pattern (Number of Holes): 5 Bolt Pattern (Pitch Circle Diameter): 114.3 millimeters Offset: 40 millimeters Backspace: 6.07 inches Item Weight: 30 Pounds Back Rims Sizing and Specifications Rim Diameter: 19 inches Rim Width: 10 inches Bolt Pattern (Number of Holes): 5 Bolt Pattern (Pitch Circle Diameter): 114.3 millimeters Offset: 40 millimeters Backspace: 7.07 inches Item Weight: 30 Pounds I know the rims i have are heavy but 4:10s fixed the problem |
its normal. If you lowered the car it will shift even more that direction. to correct the shifting you need a adjustable panhard bar. It wont hurt the car really, just look odd and wear out some parts a little fast maybe

If I end up keeping these gt500 wheels....I am going to get new tires for them. I hate hate hate the goodyears that come on the wheels. I would like something nitto'ish.

I run 19's. I have Kumho Ecsta SPT and am very happy with them. Besides looking great they are very grippy. Theyre summer tires so the warmer it is they stickier they are. Very forgiving also. When pushed they dont lose traction all at once, but gradually if that makes sense to you. Long story short, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
Front 275/35/19 Rear 285/35/19 Next time I buy tires I do want something a bit taller and wider (305) in the rear on my 10" wheels. Not really an issue though. |
Those fronts are the same as stock 19's on the '10 and '11 non-TP cars and those rears have the same sidewall height as stock.
I currently have 255/40 front and 275/40 rear. +1 on the adjustable PHB. |
is the set up i have now good or do you guys think the tire sizes need to be changed

bumpp??

Theres nothing wrong with what you have. If you want different sizes thats up to you. If your buying tires no matter what, most people run a 255 up front and the widest they can afford for the rear. You have 10" rear wheels so I'd go wider than a 275 personally. Somewhere between 285 and a 305. I'm going 305's next time around.
