It's a slip on pre-filter which is normally used to keep water out when driving in rain. Around here it helps in Spring to keep pollen off the filter but I keep it on all the time for dust etc.

I'm usually not a big fan of CF, but I like it in your bay. Nice and clean.

You can over-do CF real quick. I was torn about the plenum cover but it tied the fuel rail covers together and made it look just a little cleaner under the hood. There won't be any more CF under there. Any new stuff will be body color or black.

Yeah you can really over do it, but you did a good job keeping it in check. Nice touch.
