Default Hood Struts??

Are they worth the money or something I should stay away from? If they're a good thing, which one is the best/worst so I don't make an expensive mistake?

Thanks

I bought these and they are great. Pay no attention to the brackets in the pic.

I have the CDC struts and they are great. Not having the prop rod in the way when trying to do any work under the hood is a big plus.

Something to think about if you decide to get some. One type you have to drill holes in your hood and/or fenders. The other style fits in existing holes. I think the type you have to drill are longer and actually support a little better, but I always worry about rust, if drilling a painted area. I ended up buying the prepainted type that fits in the existing holes. They were a little more expensive, but I think they were worth it, saving the position and drilling time. Took about 20 minutes to put them on.

IMHO these are the best of the "no drill" type kits available. Comes in many of the Mustang colors and blends right in like they should.

Once you get the hood struts on you'll need to get the radiator top cover extensions. Really cleans up the look with the hood up. Most sets can't be used until you eliminate the hood prop rod....
