Default GT Takeoff Quote

I recently picked up a pair of GT Takeoff mufflers for a steal. I believe it's the appearence package, and I can't wait to get it installed.

I called a local exhaust shop, and they told me for the H pipe, and all the labor and stuff it'd be $500 for the install. Is this steep? I know the shop is reputable, everyone raves about them in my area.

$500 seems like a lot to me, but maybe it's not.. what do you guys think?

Did you do yours yourself? Or how much did you pay to get it done?

I might just end up putting on the single for now since I'm going away to school in like 2 wks

I had it put on at a custom exhaust shop that a friend of mine owns so I got a great deal ($25 GT takeoffs + $25 shipping, ebay + $75 for the H-pipe and everything installed = $125 for everything). Granted I got a great deal, I'd still suggest shopping around at different exhaust shops. And they're legit duals that sound great

I actually paid about the same as alec here: $170 for a shop to install two mufflers and fabricate/install a custom H pipe. Shop around a bit more, tom

Waiting on a few calls back. The lowest I've gotten so far is $300, much better than 5

I really HATE when people post the identical thread in multiple sections of MF...

The only reason I posted it in another section was because I saw more of a response in this section. Just needed some help, wasn't trying to be an *** or anything.
