GT Front Bumper on a Base 2006 V6?

Hello all..just wondering if a GT bumper will work on my 2006 V6? Just bought my ride a few weeks ago and it came with a aftermarket bumper that sits way too low for my liking plus not crazy about the look. Would like to increase my chances of finding a used matched colored one if the GT will work, cheers...D

It will, but you need to make sure you also get the grill because they are different between the gt and V6 bumbers, actually, if you already have an aftermarket bumper, it may already have the GT grill also.

Ive got the pony package which has the smaller fog lights, would it be the same grille as the GT's? Cheers...D

Nope.
You need the GT grille and the front GT splash shields (fender liners).
You'll also need a lower radiator shield to connect your GT bumper to the lower radiator support.
You'll have to trim the excess V6 impact absorber on the top at the middle so the bumper isn't jacked up against the bottom of the grille.

Fog lights have different plug connectors between the GT and Pony style, so you'll have to address that issue as well...

Wow! Thanks for the useful info Pascal. Sounds quite a bit more involved than I thought than just the bumper itself, guess maybe I'll just stick to the base model, cheers....

when i swapped my V6 front for the Roush, all the extra parts i needed was the grille, not sure if they shaved anything else down or used any other pieces but to my knowledge they just needed the GT grille to make it happen.

You can get away with it, sure.... when you run a chin spoiler. ;)
It keeps the lower edge of the bumper together.
But personally, I don't like things flapping around...
I've seen highway driven cars without that shield (enter FredMalibu) and the bottom of the bumper was deformed because there was nothing to keep it in place.
I say it's worth the $47 for that part.

When I did the Roush Front end on my 06 Pony Package, there was a adapter on the plug for the foglamps and all I did was take it off and it fit the GT foglamps.
