Painted radiator cover
Ok, long story short, I got in a fender bender. I had the shop do the fender work and I repainted the bumper. While I was at it I also painted my radiator cover. So here's what it looks like.
The things that look like blemishes are actually fuzzies from dusting it off. The pic is not that good of quality either. I like how it turned out.
Still no performance mods though. Soon.

I painted the bumper and radiator cover. The shop painted the fender because they wanted to hang it prior to straightening the frame.
I just got the paint from O'Reilys. I gave them the paint codes and they mixed it. It took quite a bit of prep work, but well worth it.

1. Cleaned them real good.
2. Lightly sanded, some places had some nicks and scratches so I had to feather them out a little.
3. Painted with an adhesion promoter.
4. Primed with sandable primer 2-3 coats, this filled in the rough texture on the covers.
5. Sanded and then another coat of primer and sanded again.
6. 4 coats of the black.
7. 4 coats of clear.
It took me a weekend with having to let the paint dry. I sanded with 2000 grit between each coat of black and clear.
BTW, the red is vinyl pin stripes.
