Default 67-68 GT Hood for 2005-2009

Has anyone ever seen a modern-day version of the 67-68 GT hood like the original Bullitt car had? I've always liked that hood and the subtle scoops/extractors.

The original bullitt had a fairly basic heat-exhanger hood. I agree that none of the aftermarket hoods have *quite* matched the look. However, I think that THIS ONE from cruizinconcepts comes the closest. It's a good price too, but I'm not sure of the quality of the hood.

Here are a couple of comparison pics

Original (I know, it's a diecast toy.. but it shows a good angle):

Yep. There is someone on the forums with a highland green bullitt with that hood. Looks sick. Can't think of who it is though.

Close, but that's not a heat-exchanger hood. That hood had turn signals built into it. It was an option on the 67's. Here is a close up pic

Yeah, that's about as close as I have seen, but it's almost too cheap to be true and a little more aggressive than I want.

I didn't realize the original had turn signals built in that's pretty smooth. I can't believe the new Bullitts didn't have a similar hood. Aren't they just stock smooth?

THIS ONE is much closer... and less aggressive. It's fiber, I believe, so a bit pricey. I half-tempted to get this one and mod in some turn-signals. Probably wouldn't be hard at all. LOL

MRT has the bullitt hood - with air extraction and the turn signals (the reason they were in the hood was so that a car next to you could see the turn signals when you planned to change lanes by the way).

I can't find it listed separately on their website now, just as part of the Bullitt Reload package. Scott developed it to look like the original bullitt hood.

Solved thanks to JimC!

Looks like the OP has a phone call to make now: Contact MRT at (734) 455-5807
