Paging Pascal & Others: Can I cut the Foose hood for a shaker?

$350 vs $1000 for the hood with shaker flange already cut out. I wonder how much trouble it would be to cut this for the shaker setup?

The rep said I'd have to find a weatherstrip for it, as the trim ring from the shaker kit won't fit a Foose Black widow hood.

Thoughts?

I'd PM Pascal, because this is exactly what he has on his car, foose hood with the shaker system.

No big deal cutting a hole since it's an aluminum hood just like the factory one.

The problem and the trick, is that the pre-cut Foose hood has a lip folded downwards for finition look and strength of the top skin, since it doesn't allow the CDC trim ring provided for the OEM flat hood and I don't like this one bit.
You'd think someone would have made one to marry the bulge contour of the 69/70 style Foose hood but no such a thing.

So, since I like to have that ring, I modified the one provided with a heat gun after I removed some material at the back where it contact the body line of the hood bulge.
You have to know what you're doing here in order to have it look right...

But the main challenge is to have a body shop (a good one) cutting a hole smaller in the hood and bending down the excess to make that lip all around.
Small hammer and dolly technique skills are badly needed here.
If done right, you won't need a trim ring to hide sharp gross edges since there won't be any.
In my case, I just like to retain said ring for looks and emulate the 69 look further since those cars came with a trim ring. It makes everything tighter IMO.

Here, I found a couple of pix for you.
The second one shows the edge inside the shaker hole of the hood that I was talking about...
It's about 1/2" thick.
If you cut the hole according to the stencil CDC provides, you're screwed because you won't have any material left to make that lip and you'll definitely need to make your own trim ring to hide all that mess.

2. Lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

My modified trim ring...
It shows the material I took off at the inside corners to allow proper bending in matting with the hood bulge.
