Need Body Kit Help and advice!
#11
Here's the deal, everything stated above is true but, they forgot to factor something about the "paint". And that is "paint matching", depending on how old your car is and how much sun its had your paint has sun fade. In order for you kit to match your car the body shop is most likely going to have to "feather" the paint on your car to match the new painted kit parts. This means that all the panels that the new kit parts will come in contact with will also need paint and clear which is where your cost comes from. Also, are you wanting the kit parts to look like kit parts or do you want the parts molded in? If so that requires body work which is also costly. So before you start thinking your being ripped off you better ask the body shop everything they will be doing for that price.
