started removing stripes, surprise under

Thanks for the info. I wasn't necessarily thinking of that kit, but a standard GT kit in silver. I just couldn't find a pic of that. I do really like the grill with no fogs. I think Roush sells one similar.

any update on this.
if it was my car i would try to claybar it, then hit it with a buffer. if that does not work, i would lay down some plain white stripes in the exact spot. i think that would give it a nice ghost stripe look.

Still no luck on removing the yellow stain on the spoiler. I tried buffing compound just by hand (don't own a buffer) and it didn't help any. Luckily, all I've removed are the spoiler, so I'll stop there with the top stripes until I decide what to do. But....I did remove the side stripes today. I just hated having both on there, too busy. I'm a little happier now. The side stripes didn't leave any yellow. Here's a couple of pics:

Just FYI, that's a 2007 Shelby GT (SGT), not a GT-H. All GT-H are black with gold stripes. The SGT stripes have a 1" spacing between them, so that helps to cover the stained part of your car's paint. However, the SGT stripes are narrower than your car's existing black stripes, so they won't cover all the stained paint.
