Interior Dress Up Ideas!!

I have a Vista Blue v6 and im looking for any ideas to help dress up the interior. Everything in there is boring and I want it to catch the attention of anyone instead of it being "just another stang." My dash and seats are boring grey. Please Help!!

07BLACKGT 01-25-2011 10:39 PM

Oh man the possibilities are endless. It all depends on how much you want to spend. There are quite a few dash kits for our cars that aren't too expensive. If you don't have leather, you can find leather take-off covers for our cars for pretty cheap too. Something different that a few of us have done is a suede headliner. Total project costs around $50 if you do it yourself. I've got quite a few interior parts at the paint shop right now too... I'm painting the center console and speaker rings gloss black, and the window switches and columns around the radio a flat metallic silver like the A/C vents. A few parts in Vista Blue would look sick... There is all kinds of **** you can do with your imagination.

CountryGuy204 01-25-2011 10:48 PM

Im looking for a leather upgrade kit now but i haven't been lucky. I am really thinking about getting some things inside painted vista blue. I am a diy'er, any ideas on what paint might be best? and I like the idea about the headliner, I will be looking into that as well.

07BLACKGT 01-25-2011 11:24 PM

I am also a DIY guy, but I royally screwed up on painting. After the 3rd attempt, I gave up and went to the pros. I'm getting it all done for $100 through a friend.

BTW, I was browsing another forum's for sale section and ran across a guy that just listed his OEM silver interior upgrade dash for sale with vents for $175... incase you're interested.

I'd say go to google, print off a picture of natalie portman, or whichever actress you prefer and tape it to your dash....now that's what I call an upgrade! and what a bargain

How about a good looking blond with 38DD's in a 2-sizes-too-small black string bikini and a pair of CFM heels sitting in your passsenger seat?

Works for me...

I've added black leather seats, a few satin interior pieces and some white welt trim (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT). Really has spruced up the interior. I used to hate it, it was like sitting in a plastic cave, now it's really looking good.

Also, Lloyd's mats are a nice touch. Very plush and look great

Maybe add this to spruce up the head rest. I got the Silver Running Pony;

Give this stuff a try....

I should be getting mine this week and hopefully I'll have some time this weekend to play around with it. I'm going to wrap my center console and a few other things. Search it on google and you'd be amazed how good it looks. Should be fun too!

Forgot to mention, it's not the fake looking printed carbon fiber, it's actually weaved and has the same shine normal carbon fiber has.

This is what the interior of my Vista Blue six looks like :D

Let me know how everything turns out for you. I checked out the website and its a lot cheaper than buying the whole kit. Thanks for everything!!

Keep the ideas rolling. I have spent a lot of money in my head and it is increasing every minute. I was thinking really hard about the suede headliner but I forgot to mention that I have a moonroof so it makes things a little harder. I am looking at some leather upgrade kits on ebay as we speak.

LED dome lights also add a nice touch. There's all different colors too, I had white at first, but swapped them out for red

CountryGuy204 01-30-2011 06:33 PM

I'm going to get the welts for the doors and I'm looking at maybe painting the inside door pane. Where would I be able to get vista blue paint?

Tanner05 01-31-2011 12:04 AM

You can get factory match paint through Autozone or your dealership in spray cans.
A new shift knob can really change up the interior too.

Sorry for the double post but heres a little addition i added my my CD player dash kit.
Two mustang cars and leds behind them, i ran LED lights behind it and a switch threw the middle consol. Everyone who gets into the car for the first time notices it and says its cool. and it only cost like 30 bucks to two, 8 bucks for the cars 15 for the lights i got the plexi glass for free i jsut had to buy a plexi cuting tool for like 7 bucks.

That looks really good. When you could get some pics I would like to see what you have do to the seats since then. :)

Don't know if this will help you but this is what I have done with my Vista Blue interior....Maybe it will give you a few ideas of which way to go....and it has changed since these pictures ( I have added a few more chrome pieces on the seats, foot pedals, leather re-done, have done many interior LEDs and more just can't think right now) but this gives you an idea....I also have custom floor mats just took them out in these pictures because it was the end of a car show and was getting ready to leave....

Thanks.....It is actually a kit that I bought off of e-bay.....It is the real carbon fiber too not the fake stuff.....I paid like 165 for it plus shipping.....I will see if I can find the same kit that I bought for you and post it up.....

Also, I haven't got the seats done yet they will be getting new leather next week....I am still trying to make my final decision on to either go with Tan with Black inserts or Black with Tan inserts.....Still contemplating!! Ugh....

Tanner05 02-02-2011 10:49 PM

I'm not sure.... I think either seat combination would be sexy. Wow that is a hard choice. I think black with tan would look best who knows.

If your stang is your daily driver i might go with a tan seat with black insert only because its easier to keep black clean then tan. I could be wrong but thats just my .02 cents

WaldoGT07 02-03-2011 03:17 PM

..........

jpormen 02-03-2011 05:53 PM

I think either way will look good if someone is good with photoshop that will help alot

Tracedaddy 02-05-2011 07:44 AM

Love you guys. Really. I can always count on good ideas here. I came on today specifically to get ideas about adding embroidered ponies to my headrests. $20 at a shop in town here. So thanks to 07 Stang. That's exactly what I was looking for. (I bought a set of take off leather seat covers from another person on here and that's really going to be a huge upgrade.) Someone else here posted up a link for some Roush leather covers in (yellow and black???) for something like $130. Then someone else posted up the carbon fiber wrap stuff. Out freakin' standing! I've never seen that before and I think it'll be a perfect match the rest of my carbon fiber dash kit that someone else posted up.

CountryGuy204 02-08-2011 11:23 PM

I'm putting the carbon fiber wrap in my car cause its cheap. I hope it turns out right.
