Default Dent in Hood

The other day I shredded a belt and part of it smacked the under side of the hood and dented it. It's a custom paint job and I cannot stand having a dent anywhere. Let alone right in the middle of my hood where everyone can see it.

My wife's first comment, "Just get a new hood with a big cowl, that would look cool." She's crazy and doesn't understand what that would cost.

My thought is to have the hood resprayed, which I have been wanting to do for a long time now, the front bumper too, and then put on a small after market hood scoop to cover the dent.

So the question is, who here has put on an aftermarket hood scoop and do you have any pictures.

Companies, price, overall impression of quality, etc.

Thanks

Have tried looking into paintless dent repair? Don't know bad the dent is but that would be my first option. Cost would be around $100 bucks.

Here's my car with the Roush hood scoop a few weeks ago (now on ebay) $125 (Not sure it would cover where your dent is.)

And with the Cervini Stalker hood in my sig. Uh, $500 for the hood and a good chuck of change for paint (paid for by insurance woohoo!, tgfh (thank god for hail!)

I don't think paintless dent repair will work for an outty... just for innys. I think it would damage the paint.

I feel your pain

my hood was dented as well, I used to have XENON hoodscoop than switch to ROUSH once the hood was straighten and repainted

Can't go wrong with ROUSH hoodscoop... $210 prepainted from stage3motorsports

I would get unpainted since I have custom paint already. I will look into the Rousch Hood scoop. I have a Rousch rear spoiler so I guess it may work well together.

Thanks guys!

1969 Boss 429 scoop, I put it on in my living room and painted it in my garage.
