Default First real hands on project

Well long story short, I love the look of the Saleen Extreme quarter window deletes. Found some on ebay for 25$, got a spray can of the Alloy Metallic, and went to town. Thought if the color didnt come out, I was only out a couple of bucks. Once I liked the color, asked around for installation, and got a quote at 500$ to take out the quarter window, so decided to do it myself. Turned out not to bad, and added some interior deletes that match the cloth around the roof perfectly. Rims are next with a drop, but so far i'm liking were i'm heading with the look.

Wow nice job. From those pictures at least, I can't spot a tone difference between the original body and quarter deletes. You did a fine job. Rear passengers be damned haha

Yea I was very happy with the color match. Ordered a spray can that matches the exact color code. My only real concern is my clear coating wasnt as good as it could have been. Although I did a bunch of coats, wet sanded and all, still think thats the weakest link. But the color, I like. And rear passengers?!?! Who cars about them!!?!?! I have the glass roof, so they can just look out that!

nice work.. quick question though, can you get a better lighted interior pic.. ? i'd love to see that delete a little better

Which deletes did you go with.. i've been looking at some but can't tell if the color match is correct..

+1 for doing it yourself..

Yea I can get some better pics tomorrow. The deletes are these:

The fabric is perfect match. You might have to do a little finessing but its pretty easy. It def looks good with the window deletes. And thanks for the +1! Feels good at the end of the day!
