Default Detail Question Fast

OK so I have a show coming up tomorrow.

I waxed my car a month ago but the wind and dust and heat here has made it so that I have had to use the California duster and put the Instant detailer on the car numerous times.

The car is even dusty now.
Should I dust it and then go ahead and put another thin coat of wax on her due to the extreme heat we have had and multiple dust baths she has taken?

Or should I just use the instant detailer again?
Last weekend I just used the Instant detailer on it and at a show a judge said I should have waxed my car because I had smudges on it.
I thought he was crazy because I had just waxed it 3 weeks earlier.

Suggestions?
Also... if I do wax her again should I rinse her off at the car wash really fast before I do or just do it right after the california duster?
I thought that if I did not rinse her leftover dust might get in with the wax.

Thanks!

BTW she is garage kept. It's just that the dust has been pretty bad and the heat too.
And the car sat at shows with the weather that way. I'm just not sure if there is still a good enough amount of wax on her
or if it has worn off.

It's gonna get hot as all get up here today so if I'm gonna wax again I will have to do it soon or near sundown.

Smoke...I dust and use Ultimate detailer or Quickwax everytime before taking it out of the garage...the duster will leave a bit of smudging and streaks...make sure it is cool and out of the sun when spraying it down with any enhancer (sun dries it too fast) and you can go over it more then once...I do let it sit for awhile and wipe over it again just to get any residue...I am sure the wax coat is fine...
All this so I can just go drive downtown LOL...

Sound like me.
The only time this thing has really been out is for the shows.
Given the shows were both about 7 hours long.

Again it has not been in the rain or anything.
Just the dust and HEAT.
But we are talking 109 and up during these shows.

That's why I was worried the wax may have worn off.
I guess I'll California dust it, then do the instant detail again
Then wiper her with a microfiber.

I'm guessing that judge did not know much about black cars because my personal experience with having one for over 6 years now has been if someone touches it... even after wax.... it will leave a smudge.
Would you say yes or no to this?

I am thinking he saw duster streaks...I ALWAYS wipe it down after dusting...give it a good working over with the detailer...but has to be cool and out of sun...the more you get on over time the smoother the finish gets...mine is very smooth and slick...

Ok cool.
Last time I did the detailer I did not put very much on there.
I actually just sprayed the cloth down and it was barely damp.

I'll spray the car this time and give her a good dose and work it in well.
I may just do it at sundown in the garage and make sure she looks wiped down good in the morning before the show.
My microfibers went in the wash and are drying now so it could be hot outside before they get out. It's only 76 now but once 10am hits I think it will already be up to 90

I spray it on the car...probably use way more then needed...wipe it down...move to the next area...do the same...and then go over it again with dry towels...just experiment...and good luck!
