Default Really bad curb rash... :/

So today I guess I had my head inserted up my butt when going through the McDonald's drive thru and curb rashed the hell out of my driver side rear wheel. :/ Its all the way around and is going to have to be replaced.

Here is my problem, they do not make the 17 inch GT500 replicas anymore, so should I just go with 18s on the rear and call it good or will that look bad?

I'm even considering trying to find a good deal on Tire Rack or Craigslist for a new set of rims.

Not joking, this is the WORST curb rash I have ever seen. If anyone knows where I can find the 17 inch GT500 rims post the link for me or something.

Thanks in advance for opinions.

Which company makes them?

As far as the staggered Diameter, I think the right car could pull it off in a classic sense. Most modern cars cannot but it would be a personal preference thing.

i wouldnt mind a bigger wheel on the back though tire rotation wont be the same.

it was done more back in the day but wouldnt be the worst thing. I would either live with it or jsut keep looking for a replacement.

Have it repaired. There are several companies that can fully restore it. They will weld up the missing metal, machine it back to original, paint and clear it so it's like new. It probably cost around $100-$200 for a fix like that.

Here's one: http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/gallery.html

This one has a location in Dallas. I've used them before. Good stuff.: http://wheelsamerica.com/Wheels-Amer...ir-Gallery.php

http://www.americanmuscle.com/chrome...heel-17x9.html It says its only for 87-93 mustangs so I dont know if it'll work. Best call up AM before buying them. If it doesnt next best thing (if you really like them) is to get them fixed. Just dont beat yourself up about it. Happens to the best of us.

Yeah girl, have it repaired...
I send wheels out a lot in collision business.
For $150, they come back as good as new, you'll be amazed.

Look who the shops and Insurance Cies use in your area and go with them.
Most come to pick it up for you, so no shipping.

That totally sucks, but like everyone else said just get repaired. Like Pascal said, it will look like it did when you bought it. I had it done a long time ago and swore they had just bought a new wheel. Good luck with that.

Geez tanner, if its not one thing its the other with you haha. Sorry to hear about that. A few of my wheels have some moderate curb rashes if that makes you feel any better. I've learned to live with it. Get that wheel repaired. Definitely cheaper too.

I know, Madstang. I was just thinking about that. I should have just left my bumper the way it was and maybe I wouldn't have screwed up my rim. Lol

Ok guys it sounds like a plan. I didn't even know they could be repaired.
I think a powder coating business may do that around here. Maybe I'll get them powder coated while they are there.

And thank you Karnage for the links. I really appreciate it.
