Question door trunk keyhole plug cover ?

i did find some older threads about plugs for driver door and trunk lock keyhole plugs, covers, but it appears no manufacturer ever did make them or does so, is that correct?

it seams like a nice detail to cover these practically unused areas, can't imagine thats just my thinking?!

any ideas, pointers, suggestions?

I never thought about that but it makes sense to me. My trunk keyhole seems to gather grim quickly. Good idea.

I have keyhole covers for my driver-side door (passenger doesn't have a keyhole) that I found some guy on e-bay had a plastic mould made up and was selling them.. I painted it to match and RTV'd it in there. then had to use my key when my bat. died so I had to pop it out, but haven't put it back as of yet..

here's a pic of when it was in..

but i'll agree, the trunk keyhole would be awesome to cover up.. anybody ever see any solutions for a plug for that?

I know a guy on ebay did it for a little while, but he was banned for non-shipments, myself included. I think it is on of those mods you would think people would want, but the price to make them versus the sale price I don't think there are many companies wanting to take this route. I agree though that it would be nice to have those and I would buy some if someone made them.

The dead battery syndrome kinda kills this
mod unless you never park and lock it.

Hrm my emblem does not get any gunk in the keyhole and I'm here in the windy part of Texas.

Our car is garage kept but you still get junk in the air while driving and I would think it would do that but really it gets no dirtier than the rest of the chrome emblem.
