I use a paint sealant called liquid glass on my wheels, and from your avatar it looks like we have the same ones. It makes them look great and helps them clean up easier.

just in general, all ford wheels (unless they are chrome plated) are painted, clearcoated, incl the "polished" 18" bullitts.

my personal opinion/experience:
paint sealant should be good for several month, obviously after a good cleaning, polishing.
on top of that i use "wheel wax" every other week, got it through autogeek.com , only reason i use that is because i'm not sure if regular wax products can stand the heat transferred through tire and brakes.
btw, i tried armor all wheel protectant spray once, didn't do it for me at least.

I wax mine, but I'm pretty sure there powdercoated... either way it shouldn't hurt anything.

I use my Adam's Americana paste wax on every single painted surface inside and out. That includes the wheels, for sure. My brakes are awful and worn down and after 1 day, they look like they have gone a month without being washed. The wax really does make it easier to get rid of the brake dust.

There is that armorall wheel protectant stuff, it would probably be good for the painted wheels, didn't care for it too much on my chromes, it cut back the shine a bit, but it did stay clean looking longer, jusy be aware you need to leave it to dry for a couple of hours.
