Default new venom hood. should I get hoodpins

Hey guys I'm ordering a new fiberglass venom hood. I'm unsure as to if I should order one with hoodpins or not. I like the look of hoopins with the cables but I wasn't sure if the cables stratch the paint or not. Anyone have any opinions or personal experience.

Thanks
Kevin

to me hoodpins say there to much horsepower under the hood for the regular latch to hold in. I think they look good and am considering getting them myself but i might have to do some performance modifications first so that I have a reason to get them other than they look cool lol.

Eh, I'm not a big fan of 'em. I think they break up the lines that the new hood will create. They're not needed either as those fiberglass hoods weigh at least twice as much as the stock aluminum hoods.

As far as scratching though, I've heard that you can buy the cables with a plastic sheath, but I have no idea where to get those...

I think it's a matter of personal preference, but me personally, no.

It depends on the car and the look you're going for

in terms of functionality would u need hoodpins on a supercharged 475rwhp fiberglass hood to run down the strip?

ehhhhh......idk, i think the bag of dicks is just a little more gay. lol.

but i dont like hood pins, i prefer the clean look of a nice hood.
but hood pins without cables is better than with, IMO.
either way, post pics when the hood is on!
