Default Turn Signals: Tint the Amber or buy Smoked?

Title says it all... one way or another, I want to do something with the stock turns, question becoming to just tint the existing amber turns or buy a smoked set... Input welcomed.

I've been wondering the same thing. I really hope someone post on this soon that knows about it. I don't really want to spend the money on smoked but I don't want to tint mine and mess them up.

Get smoked ones. Tinting over the amber will not get you the look your going for.

I like the AM smoked set but they still have the chrome assembly. Im thinking the best route may be to buy AM turns with the black backing but clear cover and then have those tinted

I smoked my turn signals for 20 bucks. It isnt perfect but looks better than original.
I might end up buying a pair of smoked ones on ebay witht the fogs.

Got my smoked ones on ebay. Had purchased chrome/clear ones from Stangmods previously. The ones from ebay seemed to be identical in quality. For the price I would rather have the new assembly and not worry about any issues or the look of tint. Just my opinion. But definitely get rid of the amber ones.
Here is a link to the ones I bought, they also have darker ones:

I started out with black turn signals

Stock:

Black turn signal:

Stock passenger side, black on driver side:

But I thought it wasn't quite the look I wanted, so picked up some VHT tint and tinted the lens; I had the same thought as Stags, the chrome was still there

Since I was tinting anyway, I pulled the rear side markers and tinted those as well:

El cheapo here! I opt for the vinyl's myself on the turns and sides, but if I find the time one of these days I will use niteshades and do it right.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
