Default Should i get a hood prepainted from Cervinis? quality?

I have a trufiber hood right now and i had a buddy paint it and it was a terrible job. 2 years and the clear coat is pealing off. Plus he didnt prep it well so it looks bad. Instead of prepping and painting it again im just going to go for a whole new style. Im considering a Cervinis C Series or a small cowl(unless you have another suggestion). Ive heard alot of good about Cervinis hoods and my friend had one on his mustang and it looked perfect. This time im considering just ordering the hood painted from Cervinis and i would like to know if anyone has had experience with their painted hoods and how good the quality of it is. The price for paint is 300 and I am aware that the underside of the hood comes black for that price, this is my daily driver that will never be a show car so no problem.
Thanks

I wouldn't, if you get the hood and it doesn't fit quite right and needs some tweaks then you will be having it sprayed again.

Everything I've seen so far from their painted parts is slightly better than our factory paint.
Of course, it helps a lot that those hoods require minimal prep and come with a lot of gelcoat, which is key for a fiberglass quality product.

Just a piece of advice though...
Upon delivery, make sure to inspect the hood for chips, cracks or other flaws that would happen during poor handling etc...

Thanks Pascal. So do they do a good job of prepping it? Would you suggest this hood to me, I feel like its a pretty good deal if you say the quality is going to be good. I definitely plan on inspecting the hood before accepting it.

Here's the last one I did for a local member here not long ago...
2.5" cowl.

I've had nightmares with other brands but I've done lots of the Cervinis and I never encountered serious issues so yeah, I'd recommend those hoods

Prepainted fiberglass means it has not been 'fit' to your mustang.
The fit wont be as perfect as the quality Cervinis finish.
Most fiberglass hoods require you to install them and do some
minor fit and finish items Cervinis cant do unless you ship
them your stang...
Shipping an unfinished hood is easier than a fully painted hood
in relation to the damage it can suffer during shipping...
Damaged fiberglass is easier to fix than damaged painted fiberglass.
Hoods are the worst to ship because of their large flat nature.

Ok, well I guess I could search the Houston and San Antonio areas for a good body shop, I dont know of any and I dont want to overpay for a crappy job, so i could go with the prepainted and just not accept it from the shipper if anything is wrong on it. But if anyone knows of any shops in the area that would be great.
I'm pretty sure you sold me on the cowl, it looks amazing!

The only other thing to think about is this: "Do you keep your car out of the sun a lot or has it been outside in the sun?" Reason being is that your going to have sun fade on a paint job as old as yours is now which means the new hood will not be a dead on match since they will not have something to work with to mix the color for your fade.

I wouldn't worry about the fit, pre-painted or not.
Worse case scenario, you'll have to readjust the latch and hinges for proper alignment but in no case you'll have to return the hood because of bad fitment.
I installed/painted enough of these to be confident about that.

Also... Forums are great but it's not the Bible.
Check with a few of your local shops and ask them if they ever worked with Cervini hoods.
Chances are they did and they will have positive feedback for you.
