Hey pascal, is that the $1000 kit? Or something like that? I know the really good kits are around that much.

There's your answer.

Welcome to the forums! As you can see most people are against lambo doors on mustangs. If you are still interested a guy on s197forum had some for sale for a good price

http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showt...ht=lambo+doors

Much like you, he has been flamed for his liking of them lol

OP... It shouldn't matter if we like the idea or not, if we make fun of the idea or not.
No one has influence me to do or not do a particular mod to my car...
I had the visual in my head and I went for it, simple as that.
So if you really have to have them, go for it.

While I (and lots of us) think that Lambo doors are retarded on any cars, especially on a Mustang, you shouldn't giveth the tiniest schits about what we think in the end. LOL.
They are not practical at all because you still have to duck your head out of the way on most kits and reaching for closing the door can be a pain.

But the real reason why I wouldn't advise it, is that no kits out there will age very good...
It will wobble on the hinges and after a while you will catch the edge of the fender and make a mess.
Not to mention the misalignment.
The A-pillar of our car isn't designed for that set up and that's another issue you will encounter...

To the person who asked about suicide doors, we can't do that because the rear of the door and the area it would connect to are not structurally able to support the weight of it.

Thought I read about someone who did this once
there was like a week where i got really serious about doing this because i thought it would be the coolest thing ever...probably because i had recently watched deathrace. anywho, what it boiled down to was that because the car wasnt structurally designed to have the door mounted on the other side, they, without fail (every s197 with them i could find on the internet) would sag after a period of time and wouldnt shut properly

Lambo doors on any model Mustang is just not my cup of tea. We all wanna be a little different but some things on Mustangs (my opinion) just don't look right (huge wings, fart can exhuast, lambo doors, sun roofs and the ever dreaded 24 inch rims). My opinion tho. GL OP...
