Considering a lower body kit for the SGT
I've been contemplating changing the the front and rear bumpers along with the rocker panels. What seems to catch my eye is the lower body kit (excluding wing) from Cervini's. Now I'm not a Shelby purest that needs to keep it as it came from the factory, but something is keeping from making the change. I really don't need to hear "it's your car, do what you like". I'm also not concerned about resale value. In all honesty I just want to get a consensus that will help me decide if the changes will flow with the looks of the car. Keep in mind I don't track the car. I typically do a lot of shows. I don't want to have the SGT look over done.
Thanks for your help...

Shelby purists will probably say don't do it but I love that look myself as you can see by my car. I don't have the side exhaust though. Your car is already great looking maybe start with just the side skirts/exhaust.

I'm not a purist in any way, but the Shelby GT in my mind is more of a genuine Shelby than even the GT500.
The Shelby GT's were shipped to Shelby's operation in Las Vegas for final work, where the GT500 just came off the regular line in Michigan, and the closest it ever got to Shelby was his signature on a licensing agreement.
At the very least, if you think you might ever sell the car, I'd say hang onto the original parts taken off.

I would say if you're thinking about resale value, stock is the better option. If you're looking to keep the car and you like the Cervini's kit, go for it. The resale value will be higher if you keep it as close to stock as you can. Your shelby is beautiful.

I'll shelve this idea for now and do the Shelby interior upgrade. Thanks all for helping me sort this out.
