Doing some paint touch up. Where do I buy?
I have some front bumper road rash and a few tiny chips on my 08 Candy Apple Red. After looking online, I've found drcolorchip.com (which should fix the road rash).
For the small nicks on the hood along with a few < 1 in. scratches, where should I buy the touch up paint. Automotivetouchup.com seems pretty respectable. Should I just order the base layer and clearcoat from there or would I be better off just going to the stealership?

I assume they're deep scratches and nothing that can be buffed out?
I might try the Dr.ColorChip on the nicks as well. But if you're set on the touch up paint, call up the dealer and compare prices with the website you found.

I went to paintscratch.com after recommendation on another forum... got the touchup pen for my stang and a spray can to fix some rust on the wife's van... both were a perfect match. The pen is fun to use, you find yourself crawling all the way around the car looking for every stone chip.

Besides the sarcasm, don't be fooled by dealers...
Buying a new car doesn't necessarily means it's immune from the good ole "Schit happens" concept.
I even witnessed cars being wacked upon unloading, lol.

Dr. Colorchip worked great for me. I've used those "paint pens" before, but they tend to leave bumps of paint where the chip used to be. Colorchip won't fill in the chips and scratches like a good "primer/sanding/paint" job would, but their color matching is dead on. (At least in my "UA" black car)
