Changed up the thread a bit. I had 2 threads going on at once so I converted this one into both of them.

So right now I am in the process of making the lower grille, I got the new parts cut out and I mocked it all up and it looks much better. It sits slightly further out, and has less of an angle for the bars (looking from the top of the grille). The angle for the slope of the grille (view from the side) is steeper though. I'll post some pics when I get it welded up.

My engine bay parts came in. I got a CPC Open Plenum cover as well as fuel rail covers, fuse box cover, battery terminal and master cylinder covers, and a throttle body extension cover.

Pinn over in the Chop Shop section was kind enough to photoshop the plenum cover for me!

The red may not look quite that metallic.

I plan to paint the intake manifold red (the intake manifold will pop-up through the middle of the plenum cover).

That's going to be the underhood theme for the entire kit.

I also plan to paint the valve covers red and the throttle body red.

Been prepping and painting like a madman.

Updated teaser shots with gopro (no good cam).

Will get better shots once they are done.

2 coats of 500f engine enamel. Gonna take at least 24 hours before I can work with everything. Gonna get one more sand before the final coat to try and get out all the imperfections. After that, gonna mask off and prep then lay the red. After that I might take it somewhere and get it clear coated.

Yeah... Engine enamel maybe wasn't the best choice. I think caliper paint would have done better since it has a lower flash time. This enamel is taking a long time to harden to the point where I can work with it. Good thing is it looks like it self-levels somewhat so I have been putting on a few more coats.

I got the battery terminal cover and master cylinder cover coated (4 times so far with more incoming) and the roughness is starting to dissappear (they come textured). A few more coats and they should be slick and shiny.

Prepping the grill in between coats and I plan on plasti-dipping it.

Plastidip made for a nice color match.

Still waiting on the f***ing engine enamel to harden so I can work with it.... Once it does I am switching over to caliper paint after I work the imperfections out. This stuff takes WAY too long to dry to a point where you can handle it much less work with it.

Are those brake ducts in the picture above just sitting in the fascia? They seem to be loose a bit and hanging down?

They are mounted. The one on the driver side I may need to tighten one of the screws a bit more. It's hard to tell when they are getting tight vs. when they are beginning to strip out. That and I am only using 2 mounting points on each scoop at the moment. I am also going to adjust the height of the grill. It's too high right now, needs to drop about 3/4".

The plan as it is right now is to mount the OE fogs behind the top grille and find some take-off v6 fogs to put behind the lower grille.
