Anyone ever removed the roof seam plastic trim pieces on an 05-09? I notice they slide back & forth in the groove but wanted to check in before I damage them attempting to pop them out of the groove.

Mine are badly weathered and will need painted or replaced, let me know what I am in for trying to pop them off the car.

They just pop out. I removed mine when I wrapped my roof. Very easy, start at the front and just pop them out with a screwdriver. Just be easy.

What would be the best method to clean and repaint them with?

Found them online for around $155.00 shipped for both. I'll try working with the originals first and get a new backup set if I screw them up.
