Looking for suspension/wheel ideas...

Thanks for all the suggestions so far everyone. Keep 'em coming.
I've tried to sell myself on the 19 or 20" chrome bullitts on AM but I just cant help but wish they were polished. I'm just not sure chrome is the right thing for my car. Does anyone out there know of a bigger polished bullitt wheel? That would just be the perfect solution.

First off get the wheel/tire setup installed to get an idea of what gap needs to be filled with the drop. This will in turn dictate the springs required.
To me bullitts have been and will always be old-school, no room for 20's having said that and 19's cost too much with tire selection.

the factory 18" bullits
i went with the 20" just because of tire price and i was tired of the 18"
as you can see i need to close the fender gap by about an inch, i went with steeda sports, (i haven installed them yet and im makng up my mind on the shocks and struts)

I don't have any updated pics yet, but I went with the Roush Stage 2 suspension kit and am very happy with it. Drop is ~1" all around, which is all I wanted here in MI. Bonus was that I could have the guys at Roush here in MI do the install, at what was a very reasonable price, saving me time and knowing it was done right. Yes, I could have done it myself, but Roush offers some great install pricing on their parts, which made it definitely worth it, considering it was springs, shocks, struts, and both sway bars. I have the CDC classic chin on mine and no clearance issues here in Michigan.
I think D'Prived's pics do a great job of showing the difference (and a great looking ride BTW). I currently have the stock bullitts too....and am wheel shopping as well, hoping to have them sit a little further out now too.

I am partial to the FRPP springs. They offer several different spring rates so you can fine tune exactly what you want. Plus they are reasonably priced/
I love rims with a lip on them, it makes the rim appear wider.
I didn't want chrome on my '97, so I went with black chrome for something different.

I'm tossing around the idea of lowering my car and getting wider rims in place of my 18" bullitts. First off, if I only lower the car, how goofy would it look with the stock wheels and tires (235/50R18). I think it would make the "tucked under" appearance of the stock wheels even more evident.
Second, any suggestions for a nice wheel that would go with the rest of my car? I'm not going to lie, I LOVE the bullitts, I just wished they were bigger and wider. I'd like to find a 19 or 20" version of them that is NOT chrome
So give me some ideas guys

Here's a pic, but it's from a weird angle. I'm running 285/40-18s on the rear, on 18x95s.

If you are happy with your current wheels, maybe just get some wheel spacers (to eliminate the "tucked under" appearance) and lower your car. I've read a lot about the plasti-dip paint and people being satisfied with the look. You could plasti-dip your current wheels black. =-)
