Stock GT Grille

Stock GT Grille
So I was looking at the stock grill, and noticed how much "back" plastic there is. I did a search of the forums, but couldn't find info on this:
Has anyone thought of taking a dremel to the "back" plastic to open up the air flow of the upper/lower grilles? Of course I would be careful not to remove so much as the thing fell out, but I was wondering if anyone else has done this, or if it's worth the time?
I don't really care for the billet grill looks, and I like my fogs, so I don't want a fog delete grille either, so I'm looking for a solution to a future problem. (I dont have heating issues yet, but I haven't installed a blower or what not yet either..
Thanks ahead of time

The lower GT area wouldn't allow very much additional airflow, the areas behind the plastic would also need cut out without damaging the mounting tab locations.
I am painting my aftermarket grilles atm, so here is a good shot of behind the lower grille.
