Default Calling all "The Spoiler Store" customers

I'm looking at picking up the pre-painted GT500 wing. I've read some very mixed reviews and just wanted to see if anyone has any regrets with buying this wing after owning it for some time. I'm mainly worried about paint.

Also, will taking the stock pedestal off damage it in such a way that I couldn't put it back on if any problems come up with GT500 wing?

As for the wing your getting, I can't say.

You should be able to get the stock spoiler off without damaging it, just take some fishing line or a tough piece of string and work it through the adhesive pads between the spoiler and the trunk lid. Any left over adhesive will come off with a good adhesive remover, I used WD40 sprayed on a rag.

Go for it, great product! My first one lasted about three years, then started to fade. For only $90 painted, it's a great deal!

Ordered mine a few years ago, no regrets. Paint has held up just fine. Some fishing line will help out a bunch in removing the old one.

The clearcoat on my spoilerstore GT500 spoiler started separating and peeling off after about a year and a half. Looked like it had leprosy or something. Replaced with an AM pre-painted one, which is much better quality, and no problems so far.

I got one for my daughter's Focus. The paint job matched perfectly.

+1

Known several people that purchased the spoiler and it held up great....paint color was fantastic. For removal,as said by So_Cali, fishing line and a little patience worked just fine.

Mine is from the spoiler store.. I've had it since like 2008?

The paint job has held up great. It does have a little more orange peel than the rest of the car, but it's really not bad. It probably won't be as noticeable on red as it is on black anyway.

Also the tape has begun to come up from the edges.. no big deal, I'll just buy some more 3M and use adhesion promoter to tape it back down.

The stock pedestal should be able to go back on easily.

All in all, it is an unbeatable deal. Go for it.

I installed my GT500 spoiler about 2 years ago. Paint matched nicely and haven't had any problems with it to date.

Fishing line, a heat gun or hair dryer, some Goo Gone and a lot of patience is required to remove the OEM spoiler.
