Happy Holidays!

Just picked up my new project car. Mint bone stock, low miles, one owner 2006 GT coupe. My signature reflects the pile of parts we're installing over the winter. She's gonna be a fricken beast!

Opinions wanted: Should I have lemans stripes painted on the car (have a local shop that does it for the same price as vinyl - very nice work)?? I like the look, but also like the clean look.

If I do stripes - should I do silver, white or black? I am planning on black or machined/black staggered GT500 wheels. My current inclination is black stripes - I think the black wheels and stripes on the torch red will look wicked sharp!

Also - If anybody is interested I will have a few parts for sale - all mint - Magnaflow stainless axle-backs, K&N CAI, Stock axle-backs, Stck 2010 CAI with filter. Stock 3:31's with 500 miles on them. PM me if interested.

Any of those colors would look really nice. Tough decision. I'd go with black.

If you are going with black wheels, I would go with black stripes, matte or gloss, depending on the rest of the trim.

Since you are going with black wheels, continue the black accent theme through out the car. My vote is black stripes!

Black Stripes. A shop will paint them on for the same price as vinyl? Can't beat that.

Yep - I got a quote for $475 total for painted black lemans stripes. This is from a shop that is considered a high-end shop in my area. I've had them do work before - top notch.

Ah, my vinyl stripes were $90 and I put them on myself 2 years ago, still look good.

I've never had good luck putting on vinyl. I can turn a wrench on anything, but I can't avoid the bubbles in vinyl! Did you end up with no bubbles? The other thing is it would be nice to be able to wax the entire car without working around the stripes. Dumb excuse, I know, but I'm a picky bastard!
