GT front bumper mod question
Hey guys, I have an '06 GT that I'm trying to mod the front look on.
I noticed that the GT/CS models have this black middle piece on the bottom of the front bumper (take a look at the picture I posted). Is it like an insert that I can purchase or something?
Reason why i want it is because I'm starting to blackout my car and it would look awesome on my yellow GT. it's not a GT/CS though.

It is part number 8R3Z6320049AA and costs 399 from FordParts.com, as a listed online price. It is a complete kit for the GT, and needs a couple small pieces when mounting on a v6. It comes pre primed but not in color. You can have it done according to Ford (painted), and there was a quoted price painted. I guess they have a deal where they have the local dealer paint it. I don't know if that works everywhere. Probably only the larger shops who have body shops attached. Personally, I didn't do that. I bought mine for $312 from my dealer. I got mine on finally last week, as have a write up planned to post about some of the small incidentals when adding the bumper to the v6's.

Mine cost $275, paint and material and labor. I was quoted as high as 600, by one body shop, but most were around $400 up here. I've had the same body shop do my Mustang parts since I got it, so my prices have been more than fair that he's charged me.
(Thought)...do you have a MAACO around you? I was wondering if they did that kind of quick shoot, without having the car? Just a thought. I liked what they did to a vehicle I had up here, that they painted. I did the prep work, but the car turned out great.
