Default Steeda Spyder Wheels clear coat fail

Anyone else have this problem? Seems like the clear coat is not very durable and junk seeps underneath it somehow. This is my second set, as Steeda replaced all four wheels the first time around that I brought this to their attention. Very awesome of them but I doubt they'll do it again. Its a shame cause I love these rims but up close, the imperfections are just ugly and very noticeable. Is there a way I can "fix" this on my own. Re-clear coating it somehow? My last research led me to the conclusion that there would be no way to maintain the "brushed" finish.

I think you're only option is to strip them down and have them professionally refinished.

Just tell Steeda... I bet they'll replace them again.

That's what Steeda said..... oxidation cause I live in Hawaii.

Steeda replacing my rims again? I can only wish. Seems far fetched but no harm in trying I guess.

Last time I shopped around, there was only ONE specialty shop on the island and they said the "brushed aluminum look" would be difficult to do. And the job cost nearly as much as the rim.

Cryptkeeper,

Send me an email to tim@steeda.com and attached the pictures above. Once you send your email then I will forward it to management and see what they can do.

Best Regards,

TJ
