New Hood Questions...
Hey Guys...this isn't another comparison thread asking the same tired questions
Instead after reading comments for years I finally made up my mind. Originally I had decided to go with TruFiber, but after reading the gripes and thinking of the added cost I decided to go with Cervini instead. The fit and finish is second to none, plus I can order it pre-painted. Getting paint to match would be best of course, but I plan on getting the whole car repainted a completely different color in early 2015 when mods are done and I finish paying for it. Getting the Cervini prepainted only adds $350 to the cost and I consider that on the cheap end, especially compared to some of the TruFiber cases I've read about reguarding prep & paint .
At any rate I kind of went off on a tangent lol...my real question is this. Has anyone that owns a Cervini 1187, any other one is fine too, and installed the hood lock kit? The only thing making me still want the Trufiber over the Cervini was the fact that the ram air is functional and the recessed version that Trufiber offers to work with twist lock pins, but then I found the Cervini Hood Locks. I doubt I'll have the courage to drill into my newly aquired and painted hood, so I will probably pay to have it done. Can anyone shed some light on the install process? Should I attempt to do it myself? I mean I've done several mods to my car. I also installed my Roush spoiler by drilling into the rear quater, so I'm not too scared...but I figured I would ask for some feedback here.

Well, they didn't have the twist-lock kit for the 1171 when I bought it (I asked about it), so I went with shelby style hood pins (without shelby lettering).
If you like the look,go for it, but looking at the twist lock kit instructions, I can't see how it would secure the hood as well as normal hood pins.
