Hey all,
First time here/First time Pony owner...
I just picked up this 72k mile '06 Satin Silver Conv - Babied. Would like to get some Lemans stripes for it including fender hash stripes from AM... I'm a bit indecisive so here I am asking you fine folks your opinions....
Matte black (I think would look great, but would be a pain waxing around), Gloss black, or Blue (or something out of the box that maybe one of you guys could throw at me; including style of stripe - pics would be great too!).
From reading what I have here on these forums, I value your opinions...
As you can see the car is pretty much a clean slate (What did I get myself into?? LOL)
Thanks...

Hmmmm ..... looks good either way!
Might pay you to google "Mustang Stripes" or "Silver Mustang Red Stripes" and select "images"?
For example ..... from 2005 ....
Best protectant for matte black is 303 aerospace protectant.
Boat companies, truck, and RV companies all use this product to protect their vinyl stripes.
Protects matte black without damaging.
Only have to use a small amount so just one bottle 16oz will last you about 2 yrs.
You can only get it through their website, but it's worth it.
I've heard the chemical guys product is good but can't vouch for it myself.

TBear - Sweet... I had just caught some pics and wasn't quite sure about red on silver until I saw your pic above. The racing stripes by themselves, meh... But with the red rockers (Hagar's Car? :P) - Now that looks good and seems to tie it all in! Now to search for red hash marks I think you might be on to something...
Nice clean looking car btw, the silver looks great on it...
Also saw a few pics with BSM's Slate Metallic on silver and that's a cool color combo. It pops at just the right angle.
Chris & White05GT thanks for the BSM lead...

No to long term plasti dip.
I'm not a fan of gloss black stripes. Sorry.
They just look odd to me. Almost cheap. No offense to others.
Matte black on the other hand is AWESOME!
And looks great on any color Mustang!

OK... I went and did it. First step; hash stripes and 4.0 badges. Stuck with gloss now, but I don't think it looks too bad.
Next step is going to be the Super Snake stripe and pins. Then I'm going for performance after that... :P Got my eye on the Ford Racing dual exhaust CAI, and tuner combo on AM's website.
