I like the original wheels, painted black. And I prefer gloss over matte. So, I love the garage photo. I did see an army green BMW with black wheels and accents that I liked a lot, though.

What does the matte surface feel like? How much texture does it have? Anything more than cleaning necessary to maintain it?

Yeah, the beauty of the dip is you can change it any time. And if you did it with a gun you won't have the streaks some object to. I'm tempted to trial some white stripes on mine, but I'd have to do the glossifier, and I don't know how to do that with stripes since you're supposed to remove the tape before it dries.

Looks good, gotta say it looks better without the dip though.

I personally think the Matte on it gives it that "Stealth" factor you were going for. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it was wrapped from only the info on the first page!

I think you achieved the stealth look that you were going after, however I really like the photo of the car in the garage. Shiney Mustangs and especially a Shelby gets me drooling!

But I do understand it on "This" car. After all he has a flat paint finish on it, but every Tom,Dick and Harry seems to have no immigration and is putting "Black" wheels on their car.

These are from American Muscle Chrome replacements. But the damn Tri Bar center caps don't fit.

So you are saying that American-born citizens tend towards "black" wheels?
LOL! Sorry, just couldn't resist.

Seriously, your wheels really do look just like the standard GT/CS wheels. But the center cap doesn't fit? That sucks.

Oh god, if there is one thing that I know on these forums is that pretty much everyone is crabby against matte anything, or something that doesn't look like a 'regular' Mustang.

To the OP, looks good man. I wouldn't do it to mine, but these things always look much better in person that from a camera. A real head turner. Haters are just gonna hate. It's the story of the world.

Some things don't need improving on when the "Factory" got it right. But these are Chrome as apposed to Polished alum.

You need to understand....... I come from the era of Baby Boomers......Not Gen X.

In the early to mid '70's if you had a set of chrome Cragar SS....That was the wheel...That made the car.

Black wheel's? Why waste your money? Just put a set of all steel station wagon wheels on it painted Black......Cause that's what they look like going down the road.
