Let me see some Redfire s197s!
As I call mine, Gotta have it grabber mellow redfire!
Been looking for new mods ideas, and just an overall look to go for.
I like to keep a stockish clean look, with mods that compliment it. so far i got a 14" antenna and sequential tail lights.
I love my stock wheels, so I think I will lower them with sr springs which give a 1.5" drop front and back....do you think that will look nice or would I need bigger wheels to get the "hella flush" look? I wan't to keep the car reliable and drivable so hope nothing rubs. Is it okay if I keep the stock wheels? If I upgrade I will probably get Bullitts, so then should I get 20's or 18's?
(Personally I think my car looks low enough, and I hear it sucks driving low cars cuz they always scrape against stuff when you go up a steep hill or a bump...?)

The 1.5" drop with the SR Performance springs isn't too bad at all for an DD. I think you'll find the car is still very capable of any terrain it was stock. That's probably one of the best parts of the SR springs- they help reduce your wheel gap, drastically improve handling, but don't lower the car too much to cause problems while driving!
If lowering any 05-10 GT, you'll need two other mandatory components to compliment the suspension drop. First is an adjustable Panhard bar. This allows the rear end to be centered under the body of the car after the drop. The S197's tend to push the rear out to the side when lowered because the factory Panhard bar is nonadjustable.
Secondly is as simple as Eibach chamber bolts. When you're lowered you'll need an alignment adjustment. Fully adjustable caster/camber plates are nice to have, but they're not cheap and not mandatory for such a slight drop. This is where the Eibach chamber bolts come in hand. They'll give you the slight adjustment you'll need to have an efficient suspension alignment for a fraction of the cost.
Hope any of this info helps you out! If you have more suspension questions or concerns, feel free to give me a shout. I'm here to help!
