HID capping DIY?
I've done searching on this hut can't seem to find am exact answer.
I am going to buy hid's, but it looks like the brand I am probably gonna go with doesn't cap their bulbs. Is there a way I can cap the bulbs myself?

You mean like a shield to reduce glare?
What kit are you going with? Most plug and
Play kits are cheaply made so I would be weary. Also most kits throw light all over the place blinding other drivers.
I am in The process right now if doing a real hid retrofit

if you put HID capsules in your halogen housings, you're a dick. End of story.

I have yet to see a plug and play hid kit that did not produce glare.
Do yourself a favor and head over to hidplanet.com and read up. Soon you will be like me and cutting up a extra set if head lights and fitting a true hid projector in there. Add some oem bulbs and ballasts and a easy plug in harness from TRS and you will have more light, a sharp cutoff and throw than you ever thought possible from our mustangs

oh, and watch as all of that extra UV the HID lamp throws off turns your headlamp lenses yellow and cloudy in short order.
if you MUST have HIDs, spend the money on properly-designed projectors with shutters for low-beams, and aim them properly.
