I bought the AM piece. Fits perfectly but its looks more clear than smoked to me. I dont have an issue with the lights staying on. I may just end up buying some tint to cover it. I really dont like the clear look. Looks out of place with my blackout panel and gen 5 lights.

Word. Sorry I forgot to check back here. Been really busy. Mine doesn't stay on either. I'm pretty sure I'll end up tinting it too - a little clear for my tastes as well. It kind of matches the clear center portion of the Gen 5's though.

I've noticed mine gets condensation inside when I wash my car. I need to keep an eye on that.

Looks great lit up though. It's good to have full LED brake/tail lights now.

Word of warning about the tint-because they insist on putting that raised ridge in the center of ALL the third brake lights out there, tint does not stay on it very well. I tinted mine originally, and it started to lift all around that ridge and get bubbles under it after less than 2 years. So I ended up taking the tint off and for now I have tinted taillights and an untinted red LED third brake light. I'll address that eventually.

Also I tried to put niteshades on the clear one I bought and it looked like poop when it was lit up. I didn't pay much for it, which was good since I never used it.

Very good point. I didnt realize it was so clear looking when I ordered it. The tint is $10, worth the effort after spending $50 on the lights.

@charliebrown, did your lights come with an extra rectangle piece in the wiring with double stick tape on it? I wonder if thats some sort of resistor deal to keep the lights off when off.

Sorry but I'm not about to pay $50 for a non-led third brake light that somebody put niteshades on.
