I like the redline hood strut, as I think it looks better than the MMD, but the redline says it is for stock hoods only.

I have a Cervini ram air hood.

Does anyone know of a good option other than MMD?

I use the Cervini ones. Figured that was the safe bet because the hoods are kind of heavy (I have a Type IV)

Yeah it is not too bad, but it is a bit more money, and bulky.

I have a fiberglass hood on my 2013 and use the MRT struts. You have to call them though and order them, and tell them at the time that you have the fiberglass hood. They will send a set of struts made for the heavier hood. If you don't call and order they will ship the standard weight strut.
