Has anyone put one of these on their V6? I want one for mine,
but I do not have a GT. I would guess the front bumper cover is
different underneath?

I would make the bolt/screw holes in mine of needed, if the rest of it will
bolt on where it's supposed to.

I put one on my 07 V6 but I also did a Roush bumper cover. I think it would be quite a task to put on the regular V6 bumper

If it reaches the bumper cover, that's okay, I would just drill holes for it.
