Decals - Mirror Universe; Terran Empire Starship HOOD

Just, if you watch Discovery, take it with a grain of salt, they changed way too much,
way too fast. It's not Star Trek as you know it, it does not follow trek canon.
They changed the look of the klingons, and their ships, drastically! They look
nothing like TOS era ships. The USS Discovery has never EVER been seen or
referenced in anything Trek. The spinning saucer section is, well, stupid, there is
absolutely no reason for that, and it's NEVER been a thing on trek. The Spore drive,
also never seen or heard of in Trek. Besides Vulcans, there were no alien crew members
aboard any Constitution class ships in TOS, but Discovery has Saru, a Kelpien...
There is also a synthetically Augmented crew member, Airiam. Then there is
Osnullus, they didn't say what species from. Jira Narwani, who has some kind of
tactical helmet/gear, NEVER seen before. Another crew member that has a very
"7 of 9"-ish head piece, another augmented human.
They also blew a great potential for a tie in for the Albino Klingon that was in
a DS9 episode, "Blood Oath."
It's a good "show", but as far as following TREK, it is a total disaster. The only
way this works, is if this is Abramsverse, not prime, but they already said it
was prime, so that's out. OR, this is based on the operations of Section 31...

Maybe since its the "Mirror" of Star Trek, the writers and producers took liberty to make it their own. I believe it was in the Star Trek Movie Beyond with Chris Pine, that was said the future had been altered, so therefore anything that had happened with William Shatner, would be different. It was a courageous move to do that. I guess in order to give new life to the story and to keep us interested as well as gain a new audience. Years ago, I did meet James Doohan (Scotty) and he gave me his autograph. He was very ummmm drunk at the time. LOL

The REBOOT of trek is an Alternate Universe, NOT the Mirror universe, but an
alternate none the less. It has been dubbed "Abramsverse". They mention
alternate reality (Ahura & Spock) in the very first reboot movie, not Beyond or
Into Darkness; the first one. There is no farther mention of it past the first movie
reboot.
Kirk was born in Iowa, not on the Kelvin, in the Prime universe. His mom and
dad being on the Kelvin in 2233.04 is not Prime. The captain said "There's
no help for us out here." They were too far from Earth to even get there
to birth Kirk in Iowa, even Kelvin had not been diverted, if Nero's ship had not
appeared. So this is a totally different story line, yes it is a reboot, so they can
change stuff, but; fans of Trek are so Fanatical, they actually get Paramount to
change their position. So now, it is an Alternate Universe dubbed "Abramsverse" ;
gotten there from Prime (2387), by Spock and Nero from the Black Hole created by
the Red Matter. So they simply went back in time, but also to a parallel universe.
Of course we know this is not impossible, nor unheard of. We find the USS Defiant,
from TOS, 80 years in the past, in the Mirror Universe, in the Enterprise series, set
in PRIME.
TNG Episode "Parallels" also shows ALL the different Parallel universes as all
those Enterprise-D ships converge at the same point in space-time, in Prime.
One of which, the Borg have advanced into federation space, and are winning.
So, that universes Enterprise tries to stop Prime's Enterprise from sending them
all back to their respective universes.
"Yesterday's Enterprise" - Time line change in PRIME only, then repaired when "C"
is sent back. No other universe is involved with this time line change, yet the REBOOT
tries to do this, and the fans were not having it; because if so, Kirk would still be born
in Iowa, not in space on the Kelvin. Fans do NOT want a rewrite of trek history, so
they're making it an alternate universe event. The only way this works, is if the time line
changes farther back to put George and Winona Kirk ON the Kelvin in the first place.
Seeing as this happens in 2233.04, and not prior, then it's a Universe where they put
family on Starships BEFORE the events of TNG, when they began doing that with Galaxy
class ships (for which Picard mentions basically, is undesirable). Kelvin was no where
NEAR a galaxy class, but had 800 people on board? 437 is the round about complement
of a regular constitution class ship, Kelvin is smaller, so they even built these ships bigger
than in PRIME.
Kahn, was 200 years old, in cryo, in "Space Seed" Thus putting Kahn in power back
in the 1990s, remember? However, in Into Darkness, they said he's 300 years old.
THAT puts him in power back in the 1890s, that would mean their Earth did not
experience 800 years of the Dark Ages. SO, this means ALTERNATE UNIVERSE
In Fact, if it were not for the 800 years of the dark ages, we'd be in space now. Prime
is based off our science, history, and space travel when they reference historical events.
When not in SUBSPACE, trek follows our current laws of physics, with their twists.
Like, even when at sub-light, they are in space, a ship cannot travel faster than 0.79c.
Subspace, is different. Phasers, cannot be fired while at warp, because phasers can only
travel at c., yet this is a mistake they continually make... Photons have anti-matter engines,
so they can be fired at warp speed (vMax - vT + vL), or fired while in normal space, and then
travel at warp if configured, but we never see that until Voyager with that one torpedo that
was created by the Marqis (called Dreadnought) that got loose and Be'lana had to stop.
So, Universes we have in trek are:
Prime, Mirror, Abramsverse (for lack of better term).
